Many different types of dance are taught at the school including Modern stage, Jazz dance, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballroom, Latin, Contemporary. The emphasis is on Modern Stage, Theatre and Street Jazz Dance which is used most in musical theatre and at auditions.

During the dance classes we aim to make the children aware of how they move, the importance of warming up and cooling down correctly, correct use of muscles and joints, obtaining and maintaining good posture, improving suppleness and general overall fitness and developing a good sense of rhythm.

The classes are carefully structured commencing with a warm up section, then moving on to a series of exercises to strengthen muscles, loosen joints and to stretch the body whilst increasing fitness levels. Finally in each lesson the students learn a routine which may be to funky pop song or a classical musical theatre number. Most importantly  of all the dance classes are great fun.
